COVID-19 Travel Advisory

A new safety requirement on flights in response to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Airline Face Mask Policy:

 

The airline requires all travelers to wear a face-covering on their flights. American Airlines mask policy that faces covering with exhaust values or vent, scarfs and bandana would no longer be allowed when boarding the carrier's flights. A well-secured mask or cloth that fits snugly against the face and covers an individual's notes and mouth. 

Domestic Travel: Airlines are offering even greater flexibility for your travel plans.

  • Major airlines are gearing up to require all passengers to wear face masks on flights.

  • Major airlines suspended the snack and beverage service temporarily for all flights.

  • Major airline seating policy (middle seats are being blocked) seat fees will apply. 

  • The airlines are requiring a health check for travelers before they can board their planes. If you failed a temperature check you will be denied boarding and your flight will be re-book      

  • Major airlines are waiving flight changes until March 31, 2021.

  • Basic economy flyers can make free changes to tickets purchased by Dec. 31, 2020

Additional Airline Carrier Change Fee Details for 2021: 

Most airlines had permanently eliminated most change fees and add a free standby option.  This will apply to all standard first class, economy, and premium-cabin tickets for travel within the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

The Basic Economy ticket will continue to be non-refundable and non-changeable for some airlines.

 

Most international flights change fees have been eliminated, this will apply to all international tickets originating in the United States and South America.

These dates may vary by the operating airline. Change fees are waived, a fare difference may apply. Each airline has its own refund and airline credit policies.

 International Travel: Some International airlines will offer travel vouchers on a non-refundable ticket that is valid until 30 April 2022.  Some of the island's opening is accompanied by strict public health procedures, most of which require air travelers to produce proof of a COVID-free test.

Internationally COVID guideline for travel in the United States:  Effective January 26, 2021, the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will require all air passengers entering the United States (including U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents) to present a negative COVID-19 test, taken within three calendar days of departure or proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days. Airlines must confirm the negative test result or proof of recovery for all passengers two years of age and over before boarding. The Airline must deny boarding of passengers who do not provide documentation of a negative test or recovery

As of August 6, the following countries said they are welcoming U.S. leisure travelers right now:

  • Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Jamaica, St. Bart's, St. Lucia, and Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean. Read more for the full update on reopenings across the Caribbean.

  • Croatia, Ireland, Serbia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom across Europe, though there are loads of caveats.

  • French Polynesia and the Maldives

  • Tanzania and Rwanda

  • Mexico

  • United Arab Emirates 

 

Hotel Reservations: Starting July 31, Marriott, Hilton's and Hyatt's properties are now also requiring facemasks for guests of their in the Caribbean USA & Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas, which include meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to people with medical conditions, consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of two years.

 

Cruise Lines: are expected to resume cruise operations on or before May  2021 - 

 

City Guided Tours: If the experience you have booked has closed due to COVID-19, you will be eligible for a refund. However, Virtual Historical and Sightseeing Guided Tour in the popular city is available for a small fee tour participant will meet online via Zoom or an app of your choice
